We sign post patients to patient groups that may be of use to the identified medical need. We provide on-going support via the Health Care Assistant who triages appointments and follow up of care, including annual reviews.

Routine childhood immunisations: Please call the surgery to make an appointment for your baby’s immunisations.
Our baby clinics are held most Monday and Thursday afternoons at the surgery with the Practice Nurse. There is also a Nurse Practitioner available if you have any concerns about your baby’s or your own health.
Please remember to bring the red book to the baby clinic so that we can keep your baby’s record up to date. If you have recently registered with the surgery from abroad, please bring any previous immunisation documents with you.
If your baby is unwell, with a temperature of 38c or higher, please postpone your appointment until he/she is fully recovered.
At the Herschel Medical Centre we aim to carry out reviews during the same month as your birthday.
At this review you should make sure that any simple tests (e.g. blood and urine, or breathing tests) are done prior to seeing the Doctor of Specialist Nurse. If unsure please check at the time of making the appointment.
Please also remember to tell us of your telephone number(s) in case we need to contact you for any reason after your review.
